An introduction exchange with CGAP new CEO

Sophie Sirtaine has broad experience in development and has been a leader across both strategic and operational functions at the World Bank Group. In her first CGAP blog she outlines her perspective on the main challenges and opportunities to advancing financial inclusion and creating a more resilient world where poor people not only have the means to protect themselves against external shocks but are also equipped to capture new opportunities in a global digital economy. Sophie has identified three priorities in her new role as CGAP’s CEO (i) lead the development and implementation of CGAP’s next five-year strategy, (ii) deepen relationships with CGAP’s members and partners, and (iii) ensure that CGAP’s work continues to have impact globally by incorporating influence model insights from the strategic evaluation that is almost completed.
